ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Monitors and operates radio and other equipment in response to emergency calls, requests for

information from public safety personnel, and other radio transmissions. Answers incoming calls

utilizing CAD software. Communicates effectively and efficiently and complies with FCC

regulations and established procedures and policies. Performs keyboarding, recordkeeping and

other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma/GED equivalent required. Must be able to operate communications

equipment in an effective and efficient manner and communicate in a concise,

courteous, calm and responsible manner at all times. Must be able to effectively

monitor, manage and respond to simultaneous communications. Must also be able to

give or secure advice, which is necessary for the immediate safety of persons or

property in the event of an emergency. Must be able to pass a thorough background

investigation, physical exam and pre-employment drug test.
